What is the level of oxygen in the blood?

  • Oxygen saturation gives information about the amount of oxygen transported in the blood. An oximeter can estimate the amount of oxygen in the blood without having to draw a blood sample.
  • Pay attention to other signs or symptoms of low oxygen levels, such as:
  1. Bluishness of the face, lips or nails
  2. Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or a cough that gets worse
  3. Insomnia and discomfort
  4. Chest pain or tightness

Useful tips to increase the level of oxygen in the blood

  • Open the windows or go outside to get fresh air.
  • Quit Smoking. After just two weeks of stopping smoking, many people find that their circulation and overall oxygen levels improve significantly.
  • Plant some plants. Houseplants have been proven to help purify the air indoors.
  • Practice breathing exercises.
  • Remember, you can always easily measure your blood level at home using an oximeter

Normal levels of blood oxygen level and pulse

  • Normal heart rate in adults is 60 to 100 beats per minute. Pulse is affected by many factors such as age, fitness level, cardiovascular disease, body position and emotions.
  • Normal oxygen level is 94% to 100%.
