What is the level of oxygen in the blood?
Oxygen saturation gives information about the amount of oxygen transported in the blood. An oximeter can estimate the amount of oxygen in the blood without having to draw a blood sample.
Pay attention to other signs or symptoms of low oxygen levels, such as:
Bluishness of the face, lips or nails
Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or a cough that gets worse
Insomnia and discomfort
Chest pain or tightness
Useful tips to increase the level of oxygen in the blood
Open the windows or go outside to get fresh air.
Quit Smoking. After just two weeks of stopping smoking, many people find that their circulation and overall oxygen levels improve significantly.
Plant some plants. Houseplants have been proven to help purify the air indoors.
Practice breathing exercises.
Remember, you can always easily measure your blood level at home using an oximeter
Normal levels of blood oxygen level and pulse
Normal heart rate in adults is 60 to 100 beats per minute. Pulse is affected by many factors such as age, fitness level, cardiovascular disease, body position and emotions.
